The training

At GPS Bergkamen GmbH, we strive to offer excellent training that prepares you for a successful career in the healthcare industry. This is guaranteed by our dedicated team of lecturers, who always work with modern teaching approaches (theory / teaching materials).

requirements

Social skills are a top priority for us, as is up-to-date, comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge! Secondary school certificate with completed at least two years of vocational training Extended secondary school certificate (FOR) Intermediate school certificate (FOR) FHR / Abitur

Duration of training

The training lasts three years and concludes with the state examination.

Advantageous

Good communication skills, powers of observation, good gross and fine motor skills, flexibility and creativity in dealing with new situations and people.

Instruction

Class times: Monday to Friday, max. until 5 p.m. From the middle of the 2nd semester, half-day school, half-day internship in a clinic/rehab/practice/kindergarten. We work closely with our cooperation partners to ensure high-quality training. Training begins on September 1st of each year.

Subjects

Our subjects comply with the training guidelines for physiotherapists in North Rhine-Westphalia. Due to our holistic approach, they are supplemented by the following subjects: psychosomatics, Feldenkrais, Qi-Gong, progressive muscle relaxation, SE touch, psychosomatics of pain and others. The massage techniques are supplemented by Breuss massage, Thai massage and Ayurvedic massage. We attach particular importance to patient contact, the perception of well-being and the recording of the findings, the recording of an extended, integrated anamnesis, conducting a conversation, the expression of movement and the various forms of touch, which are practiced during the internship.

Cost ?

The state of North Rhine-Westphalia currently covers 100% of the monthly training costs. In addition, students can apply for BaföG, which does not have to be paid back.

Studies

For example, if you want to work in science, there is the academic route.


There is the course of study (part-time), Bachelor of Science degree, where you can enter higher semesters (depending on the university) through the PT training.

You can also start studying part-time during your training with us. If you want, we'll be happy to arrange that.
